Kleather's Pumpkin Patch sits on a piece of property with quite the history! The home was built by Dr. Aron Wright for his son Fredrick Wright. Dr. Aron Wright lived just across the street in the other Italianate on the south side of 73. Although there is conflicting historical documentation, Springboro boasts an amazing history involving the Underground Railroad. The Fredrick Wright home has a hidden room in the attic floor with another door accessible to another room.
There have been quite a few families that have been it's caretakers. The Kleather family took ownership in 1976 when Harry and Emogene Kleather joyfully began their renovations. In about 1988 Joe and Marsha Kleather took ownership with their three young daughters. In 2015, Patrick and Emma (Kleather) St. Jacques purchased the home with their four children and now currently own and operate Kleathers. Each family has made gentle modifications to the home, however maintaining the historical integrity.
While the home is not currently open for historical tours, the Springboro Historical Society, located in downtown Springboro offers an incredible experience for those looking into the town history! Check out their website or facebook page for tours and information!

The Easton family resided in the home for decades!
